Betty enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of history as a volunteer docent at Sully Historic Site and at Sky Meadows State Park. She has also volunteered at Frying Pan Park, where the Frying Pan Meeting House, a historical Baptist church that Jeremiah Moore pastored, is located. For her work as a volunteer, she has been honored with several awards.

Born in Louisiana, she has resided in Fairfax county for 10 years, but her family’s history in Virginia began in the early 1700’s. Historic preservation is one of her many interests. Other interests are reading, genealogy, and traveling with her husband,Ted.
