Dorothy Holland Mann is the daughter of John Sidney (Sid) Holland, Sr. She is the proud mother of Keith Mann and proud grandmother of Johnathan Mann.
Dr. Mann holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Health Services, UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine. Following a highly successful tenure as Regional Health Administrator, US Public Health Service, Region X (W(Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska) she is currently a consultant in nonprofit board development and governance.
She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of Group Health Community Foundation. She is currently a member of the Virginia Mason Medical Center Board of Directors where she serves on the Governance Committee and the Quality of Care Committee. She is also a member of the Washington Health Foundation. In Washington, D. C. she is a member of the Boards of the HSC Foundation and its subsidiary, the HSCSN (Health Services for Children with Special Needs, Inc.) Board. She chairs the Foundation’s Board Development Committee.
Dorothy earned a BA degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C., a Masters Degree in Health Administration and Policy from the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor and a PhD in Health Administration and Policy from the Union Institute Graduate School, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dorothy is a recognized community and arts activist. She chairs the Seattle Arts Commission and is a member of the Seattle Art Museum’s Development Authority Council.
